Imagine the feelings…confusion, fear, guilt and anxiety.

Imagine you aren't even old enough to understand or express these emotions. Before the diagnosis, life was simpler. You were a fun-loving, happy, carefree child. Now…life is harder.

This can be the reality of a child whose parent has been diagnosed with cancer. But now imagine you found a group of kids experiencing the same things. You also found supportive adults who provide a secure and healthy environment to guide you through your feelings. Most importantly, you found a place to be a kid again - to have fun, relax and be yourself.

This is the purpose of the Kids Alive Support Group. In 1995, the group was founded in response to breast cancer patients who were concerned about their children's needs. Support was in place for the cancer patient but not for their children. Kids Alive has now served hundreds of children, ages 6-16.

Often, these families are exhausted - physically, mentally and financially. Fortunately, Kids Alive provides this needed service to families free of charge. The program is funded from private donations, corporate sponsorships, and grant funding. At this time, we need your support to continue this outreach to our communities. Below is information about the various sponsorship opportunities. Donations outside of these sponsorships are welcomed and can be directed to any portion of the program.

The Snow Mountain Ranch Sponsorship
provides a feeling of trust and care among children while providing parents with a much-needed break

$ 8,000

At the end of the program, the children experience a weekend mountain getaway at the Snow Mountain YMCA camp where they experience a variety of activities like wall climbing, rappelling, roller-skating, campfires, swimming and more!

This sponsorship covers the cost of: therapist and chaperon time

The Nourishment Sponsorship
fills the body and soul with needed nourishment

In the course of the program, programs require trained professionals to lead the group. At each group meeting, refreshments are provided for the children.

This sponsorship covers the cost of: director fees, program development, food and refreshments

The Imagination Sponsorship
provides the creative outlet to express feelings that could otherwise be overwhelming

In the course of the program, guest therapists join the group using music, art, drama and discussion as a part of the curriculum.

This sponsorship covers the cost of: guest therapist fees, curriculum development, material cost

The Hero Sponsorship
secures the opportunity for one child to complete the entire Kids Alive program from beginning to end

This sponsorship ensures that a child will have the opportunity to establish a support group with therapists and other children.

This sponsorship covers the cost of one child's…director and therapist fees, curriculum development, supplies and administration costs, Snow Ranch trip, food and refreshment
